Fixed and removable retention appliances are placed at the end of orthodontic treatment to stabilise the teeth and prevent relapse of the teeth into original positions. After orthodontic treatment we recommend strict 2 year retention supervision.
Both fixed and removable retention appliances exist.
These are removable orthodontic appliances that allow simple tooth movement, or can be used to help stabilize or prevent potential problems.
Fixed retention Appliance holding appliances are used to maintain space and aid in the guidance and development of primary and permanent dentition. Appliances, such as our bonded 3-3 lingual, 3-3 with a bonding tray, are used to maintain the finish, but remain hidden.
